"Buggy, eh?"
The woman tapped her foot against the ground as she looked over the notice board. She needed a bounty to collect, and fast, if she wanted to travel without stopping to hunt and forge every so often. A man looked over at her, following her gaze to the bounty poster. A large group of people were staring at the board. A few new posters had been posted, and the whole village was on edge, due to the fact that Buggy the Clown was so close to their island.
"What do we do if he comes here?" A woman asked.
A man snarled, "We fight! That sea devil isn't-"
"Save your breath."
Everyone turned to the stranger. She looked menacing, with the scars on her arms and shoulders, and their was sure to be more on her legs. The black pants she had on concealed whatever bruises and cuts were on her legs. Her arms were completely exposed because her sleevles shirt. The black dagger and midnight blue sword had taken place in a fair share of fights, that being represented by scratches on the metal. Her face, however, was what struck the villagers the most.
Her face was slightly angled, like a cats. The long, dark blue hair that reached her shoulder blades was tied back into a pony tail, and she had tied a piece of black cloth around her forehead to keep her hair out of her face, which didn't work, as it still partially hung in her left eye. Her eyes were another thing. They were a beautiful deep forest green color, but they were those of a cat, with slitted pupils. As her glance shifted to the villagers, they flinched from the predatory look in her eyes. She chortled.
"Buggy is not going to reach your village. I'm going to kill him." She stated.
"And who do you think you are?" A man challenged.
"I'm Koru, and that's all you need to know."
--
"I got beaten to Buggy by this kid?" Koru snarled.
From her position on the roof of a building, Koru could see the whole fight. The people below her, three teens and Buggy himself, could see her, but thanks to her hood, couldn't see her face. They hadn't bothered to say anything, as the person posed no threat. Buggy had just been defeated, and the teens were itching for answers, but when they looked like, the woman was gone.
"What the-?"
"Nice fight, kid."
They turned, seeing the hooded figure standing behind them. They reached up, and pulled down the hood. It was Koru, not that they knew who she was. Koru crossed her arms, raising an eyebrow.
"Who are you, kid?" She asked Luffy.
"I'm Monkey D. Luffy. Who are you?"
Koru shrugged, "I'm Koru."
The eighteen year old wasn't pleased, that was easy enough for Luffy and his crew to see, but she didn't say anything. Actually, she turned and walked away. Luffy, obviously curious, followed, bugging the shit out of Koru with questions that she refused to answer.
"There she is!"
A marine that had been on Koru's tail for miles came charging out at her from an alley, and she thought of this as a perfect time to show off and destroy him at the same time. Flipping backwards, she landed on one hand and twisted her hips, making herself flip onto her feet. Only it wasn't a human anymore. It was a panther that was standing there, and with one swipe of its mighty paw, the marine's head went rolling down the street. The panther looked at its claws.
"Great! I just cleaned this claw!"
"You have to join my crew!" Luffy shouted.
"Oh god..." Koru muttered, lowering her head, "What have I gotten myself into?"
